Akko Piano U1 Switch Variation Notice
The Akko Piano U1 switch is available in two configurations.
LY Stem
POM Stem
The stem material is selected according to the intended assembly method. LY provides exceptional smoothness but is more susceptible to deformation when switches are pressed into place by automated equipment during keyboard assembly. POM is therefore selected for pre-installed keyboards to ensure consistency throughout the automated assembly process.
These differences do not indicate that one version is inherently better than the other. They simply reflect different materials for different applications.

What's Improved
Building on the familiar sound profile of the Akko Piano series, the Piano U1 linear switch improves overall smoothness and delivers a more responsive keystroke, with a more focused sound and less unwanted noise.
The low-friction LY stem helps reduce friction during each keystroke for smoother, more consistent linear travel. Together with refinements to the switch structure, the Akko Piano U1 maintains the characteristic sound of the series while providing a smoother typing feel and a cleaner, more controlled sound profile.
