Weekly Product and Software Updates 08/21
1. Gamepad Disable Option
Akko has enabled the gamepad function on all its 8K magnetic switch keyboards.
Recently, a new firmware update has been released that allows users to disable this feature. We found that being detected as a gamepad may interfere with the functionality of other gamepads connected to the computer.
Please ensure your driver is updated to version 370.1.32 with the latest firmware to disable this feature.
2. SOCD Under Development
SOCD has been tested on the YOTD model. We are currently waiting for a driver update before releasing the manual updater for users to test.
Regarding the rollout schedule, we plan to implement SOCD on all magnetic switch keyboards, one model at a time.
Will SOCD be implemented on mechanical keyboards?
This would require significant effort to overhaul some fundamental code frameworks. Implementation might take longer depending on user demand and may not be available on all models.
3. New Keycap Set
Akko has released six new keycap sets. Which one is your favorite?

4. JIN01
Following the MU01, JIN01 full aluminum keyboard is now available!
Updated Sound Dampening Structure
Like the MU01, the Akko JIN01 mechanical keyboard has been upgraded with a 5-layer noise reduction system. In addition to the standard foams, it features an extra PET layer and 3.0mm Poron case foam (with socket cutouts) for enhanced sound isolation and noise reduction.
In Mandarin:
JIN = 金 (Gold/Metal)
MU = 木 (Wood)
YU = 玉 (Jade)
Their names represent the general characteristics of their materials.
