A gasket mount keyboard is a type of mechanical keyboard that uses a gasket material, such as silicone or neoprene, to create a “floating” mount for the switches. The gasket is placed between the plate and the PCB, which allows for a more flexible and cushioned typing experience.
This design allows for more flex and cushioning, which can result in a softer typing experience.

I use POM plate, original stabs, Akko cream black pro and Akko WOB MDA keycap. I am very impressed with the build quality! Love the typing experience with this setup!
This DIY is very complete, plus the default sound using the AKKO Black Cream V3 Pro is incredible. Unfortunately, many instructions are missing, both for assembly and for basic use of the software (VIA). It would be interesting to have a PDF with assembly instructions for people less advanced in the world of custom keyboards like me.
Completed this build with my GMK dualshot and it looks clean. Sound is deeper with my cream black pro switches.
Very nice quality and has a good weight to it! It works great, looks amazing, and I definitely recommend it :) Only thing is I wish they offer more knob options.Â
The keyboard arrived in good condition, at least speaking in terms of shipping, when I connected it to the USB port to test that the PCB was fine, it started to smoke from a capacitor and later exploded, in short my first custom keyboard of the 150 dollars never worked.
This is the kit I chose to build my first entirely custom keyboard. I love the size of it, the layout is perfect for me.
VERY HEAVY and I like it. Also nice gasket feeling. Tape mod and force break mod made it sound like a $250 keyboard. I wish they had more plate and color options though.
Was very excited when I got the package. However, When I finished building it, It ended up not working. Got sent the wrong pcb, and the support did not respond. This was gonna be my very first custom keyboard build too, Very disappointing.
Well I got this with holiday deal so it’s only slightly more expensive than MonsGeek M1 but bro….a weight, and dual plates and a premium case ( I am not a fan of the side accent) so this is a HUGE upgrade for me for $20-30. It’s next level and so far the best Akko keyboard.
