A gasket mount keyboard is a type of mechanical keyboard that uses a gasket material, such as silicone or neoprene, to create a “floating” mount for the switches. The gasket is placed between the plate and the PCB, which allows for a more flexible and cushioned typing experience.
This design allows for more flex and cushioning, which can result in a softer typing experience.

Just received this keyboard kit, and it looks, feels, and sounds so much better than I expected. I was going for a creamy/thocky sound, and this board paired with Akko Cream Black switches gave me exactly what I was looking for. I'm in love with this keyboard, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone if they're a skilled keyboard builder, or new to the whole keyboard hobby. It came preassembled, all I had to do was put the switches and keycaps on and it worked like a charm.
This is my first mechanical keyboard and I love it. The layout is perfect, I got it in Moonlight White and the colour is perfect. It was very easy to assemble and I keep getting compliments from friends on how nice it looks :D It was also shipped in a very timely manner and the customer support has been simply top notch!
This Barebones keyboard is great if you are just getting into keyboards and need a cheaper option. I ordered two, one came perfectly fine and the other has a slight bend to it but functions normally, didn't really feel like returning it so they refunded me 12 dollars for it.
