Awesome Keyboard! MOA profile and wood case is an epic combination.
I purchased this keyboard when it launched and I love it.
Pros
– Sounds exactly like the website video and youtube videos of the keyboard.
– Marbly sound profile (if that’s your jam).
– Very nice wood. I do wood working as a hobby and was concerned that the walnut would have a very figured look. Though figured is preferred for the beauty, it is far less stable. The wood of this board is a nice straight grain walnut. I also appreciate that the board ships with a wood conditioner to keep the walnut smooth, preserved, and rich in color.
– Works on mac without software.
– RGB is visible from the angle you typically look at a keyboard from.
– Heavy (subjective)
Cons
– On/Off switches located under the keys. I’m paranoid and turn off the keyboard even though it auto shuts off. Because of that, I have to pop a key off everytime I use it.
– Spacebar foam got loose and made a squishing sound. I figured it out and haven’t had the same problem since.
– Heavy (subjective).
Words can’t describe how excited is me during the unboxing. Definitely satisfying. No regret at all buying this for my first mech keyboard.
The sound profile out of box is marbly thock, and soooo lovely.
The design is a personal fave with rounded edge, the wooden case material, the brass accent, the keycaps material, profile & design, the switch. All in all it is completely perfect package.
Pricing is subjective, I mean there’ll be always a cheaper one. But this, with all it comes out of the box, totally worth it IMO.
Last but not least, the Akko support team is also responsive, and supportive, another point plus for me buying this directly abroad from the web. Hopefully a lot of people can feels the excitement I get while having this MU01. Thanks Akko!
Best budget prebuilt keyboard ! And the sound, with no extra foam nor tape, just out of the box, is amazing ! Only negative point is for french native speakers like me, the keycaps don’t allow to change to azerty french layout. So few extra keycaps to fix this would be great, but that’s just extra detail. It is just amazing ! Thanks Akko !
Very pleased with the looks, weight, size, sound and overall quality 🙂
Lovely keyboard. Nice feel to the keycaps, love the rosewood switches too, gives the thocc. My favourite part is the wooden base, which is just heavenly and super good quality. Can control RGB using akko software which is easy to download and self-explanatory to use. A couple things I’d say is the keyboard has to be relatively close to the USB receiver in order to work wirelessly. To change between wireless and bluetooth modes, the switch is under the keycap (not a problem, just mentioning). One problem I did have is that the wooden case came with a decent scratch on the bottom, it’s okay since I don’t see it but super pleased otherwise.
The keyboard is absolutely beautiful (I bought this for the walnut case and I love it!) I’m not sure the included switches are my favorite but they don’t offend me.
Cons: I wish the keyboard was just a bit larger — the backtick key isn’t in its usual location, and I use it from time to time (rebinding doesn’t help because I would have to overwrite a key I use more often). I would happily buy a tenkeyless version if it was available.
Love the aesthetic. The linear switches and the marble sound just makes this keyboard so pleasant to use. Software is great and battery life lasts for a while! Overall, this is the best quality I’ve vound in a keyboard at this price range (personally). RGB isn’t overwhelmingly bright, which I take as a plus.
The only thing I have to get used to – moving from a contemporary board – is the height/slope of the board and the increased key travel. Minor things to adjust to, though.
Bought this for my girlfriend, she likes it very much!
Amazing Keyboard
